Woman Sets Home On Fire Trying To Kill A Spider With Lighter

This is just like trying to use a gun to kill a cockroach. 34-year-old Ginny Griffith in Hutchinson, Kansas, is charged with arson after police say she set her home on fire during an attempt to kill a spider, the Hutchinson News reports.

The police report explains how Griffith used a cigarette lighter to set some towels alight in an attempt to do away with the bug.

Firefighters say there were multiple points of origin for the fire but fortunately no one was hurt. Griffith has been charged with aggravated arson.
