According to reports from Bauchi state, locals have right now stormed the state's INEC headquarters despite a 24 hour curfew imposed by the state government.

Governor Isa Yuguda had warned residents to stay indoors, declaring that any body found wanting must face the wrath of the law. The government said that the measure was to forestall an escalation of attacks after Nigerian troops engaged gunmen in fierce fighting in  Dungulbe village, 7krs from Bauchi State Capital.

Earlier on in a press statement, the APC Directorate of Media and Publicity noted that intelligence report at its disposal indicated that the Bauchi State governor was in the process of manufacturing crisis across the state so as to give an impression that elections across the state which put the APC in clear lead in all layers of election was inconclusive and therefore call for an outright cancellation of all the elections held on Saturday in Bauchi State.
