Tiwa Savage & Her Estranged Husband Teebillz ready to Reconcile

Marriages that take place in church are having troubles if the foundation is not right, not to talk of the so called destination weddings. It is with the commitment of both parties that all will be well.

About six months after her marital squabble, it appears Tiwa Savage is ready to mend fences with her estranged hubby, Tunji Balogun, aka Tee Billz.


According to sources close to the singer, her body language indicates that she’s ready to reconcile with her husband and father of her son. Already, there have been meetings between both families aimed at a peaceful reconciliation.

Tiwa is said to have been meeting older couples and counsellors who have been advising her to give her marriage another chance in respect of the ‘for better, for worse’ vows she took at the altar.

A source told Vanguard: “You can take my word for it that a reconciliation is in the offing between Tiwa and Teebillz. She has told people close to her that she misses Tunji, and she wants him back in her life. Also, as their son, Jamil is growing older, Tiwa wants to ensure that he dad around."

Speaking further, the source said, “Of course, she has also given a condition that Teebillz gets help so that all the issues that led to his public meltdown will not happen again.”

As a pointer to the fact that Tiwa is ready to accommodate her husband, she paused her performance last Sunday at the Three Thrones concert which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, to seek for marital advice from ‘veteran’ singing couple, Tunde and Wunmi Obe.

“You’ve been married for so long, and you’re also in the limelight; how have you managed to keep your relationship intact for all these years? There’s a lot of pressure on young couples and I’m very jealous of you,” Tiwa said right on stage.

Obafemi Martins Celebrating His 32nd Birthday Today

Nigerian international football star Obo Goal is a year older. His wikipedia profile:

Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins (born 28 October 1984) is a Nigerian footballer who plays as a forward for Shanghai Greenland Shenhua and the Nigeria national team. He is known for his speed on the ball. After leaving Nigeria for Italy at age 16, he has since played for a number of top-division clubs around Europe. 

He began his senior career in 2002 at the Italian Serie A club Inter Milan, before moving to the English Premier League club Newcastle in 2006, and then the German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg in 2009. Having joined Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan in July 2010, they loaned him to Birmingham City in January 2011.

Four female children were on October 25th, rescued by a good samaritan around 1:00 AM in the night in Abak, Akwa Ibom.

According to Child's Right And Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) the children whose origins are yet to be identified said they were told in a prayer house that they were witches, an allegation which compelled their parent to abandoned in another prayers house which they went for deliverance, for years without bringing them food to them. 

Their parents later came to the church at the instance of the pastor, pick them and put in a waiting car which drove them to the Abak bridge and dropped them there. The children were malnourished and seen with wounds, bruises, and scars in different parts of their body indicative of variant degrees of torture, which of course are not uncommon with children who suffer similar faith consequent upon witchcraft stigmatization.

"My father said he's afraid of God, he would have killed us as instructed by the prophets." one of the children said.

Speaking after the rescue, a right activist said: "Children have continued to be abandoned in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria over witchcraft allegation by parents after desperate and nouveau riche pastors and prophets label witches/wizards and made their parents force them on the streets if not killed. These children were lucky to be rescued yesterday in the wee hours of the night at Abak new bridge otherwise, they would have been picked by the lurking human traffickers or ritual killers who maraud the streets in search of children for diabolic purposes.

"Different states in Nigeria, mostly Akwa Ibom, Cross River and River States,remain the hotbed for children abandonment due to witchcraft accusations. Lagos and Ekiti have also been reported to be in the high rank of witchcraft allegation on children and elderly people in recent times which lead to their death and forceful incapacitation"

A 36-year-old man, Daniel Johnson, has been arrested for beating up and injuring some commercial sex workers who refused to service him in a brothel in Ajegunle, Lagos State.

According to Champion Newspaper, Johnson had reportedly gone to the brothel located at Akinbo Street in the area and requested to have sex with a prostitute but the lady refused.

He then approached another prostitute and met with the same rejection and this angered him so much that he resorted to violence and beat them up, injuring some of them in the process, before escaping from the scene.

One of the victims who identified herself as Gloria Francis said she was badly injured after Johnson threw an iron chair on her which left her with a deep gash on her leg.

The matter was reported at Tolu Police Station and Johnson was later arrested and taken to the station.


At the station, he reportedly told police that the sex workers in the hotel conspired against him and whenever he went there to have sex with any of them, they will deny him.

It was gathered that the sex workers decided to refuse to service him due to his history of having sex with them and refusing to pay the agreed amount and whenever they complained, he would become violent.

The police charged him to court with conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace and assault under the Criminal Code.

When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, T. Abolenwa granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.

Magistrate Abolenwa ordered that he be remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail while adjourning the case till October 31, 2016, for a mention.

Nigerian Man Arrested For Killing Cousin Who Killed Him In A Dream In Abakaliki, Ebonyi State



A Nigerian has been arrested in Abakaliki, capital of the eastern state of Ebonyi over the murder of a 25 year old man, his cousin.
The police claimed the arrested suspect killed his cousin, identified as Chukwudalu Omege because he claimed Omege killed him in his dream
According to the police PRO in the state, Sylvester Igbo, the suspect claimed he dreamt twice overnight.

In the first dream, he saw three men trying to kill him, but he could not make out their faces. He even knelt down, according to his police statement, and asked God to not to allow his death.
Then he went back to sleep and dreamt again. This time, he claimed he saw the faces of dream killers, one of whom was ‘Omege’. The suspect decided to kill his cousin first before the dream became a reality.
 
Igbo said after the arrested suspect stabbed his cousin, the cousin was rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki. He died Saturday.
Igbo also announced the murder of Innocent Onu by a 40-year-old relation of his in Uburu, Ohaozara LGA of the state.
 

He said the suspect had a bitter quarrel with Onu and other relatives on Saturday over his decision to tip laterite on a ground where the family had planned to use for a wedding reception on Sunday.
“After persuasion, he agreed to relocate the laterite but when the family members gathered to finalise the arrangements for the wedding reception, he brandished a gun and shot Onu,’’ he said.
He said that the suspect immediately escaped into the bush while a manhunt had been mounted by the Ohaozara Police Division

Exclusive: Dancequeen Kaffy responds to controversies surrounding her verbal attack against disrespectful artistes

On Wednesday, a lot of of people were surprised to see Dance entrepreneur, Kaffy, lash out at Davido and other artistes who allegedly disrespect dancers in Nigeria. In an explosive video lash out, Kaffy came for the music artiste, stating that it was disrespectful of him to dismiss contracted dancers at the very last minute. According to her, this happened at the One Africa Music Fest in the U.S in July and another similar issue also came up before the 3 thrones concert in Lagos over the weekend.


However, it appears her opinion on what went down during the second concert in Lagos was misconstrued. Some media outlets went on to report that the choreographer for Davido's performance at the 3 thrones concert debunked Kaffy's claim, saying although he did not initially want dancers for all his performances, the organizers insisted and he agreed. LIB reached out to the dance queen to hear her side of the story and she exclusively revealed the genesis of the problem, from unpaid debts to more. Read after the cut.


LIB: You lashed out at Davido for disrespecting contracted dancers at the One Africa Music Fest in New York back in July. You also made an example using the 3 thrones concert in Lagos. This was where the controversy set in as his official choreographer at the concert states clearly that his dancers performed with Davido on stage. What do you have to say about this?

The One Africa Music Concert in New York is the concert that Davido disrespected the dancers. While he was climbing up on stage, he told the dancers that he doesn't need them any more. Not the 3 thrones concert. People got that mixed up. They were disrespected right there by the side of the stage when they were about to climb on set. By the time he heard the uproar of the audience, he said "I no need dancers, i no need dancers' and just ran past them. I spoke to Kamal (Davido's manager) and tried to find out what exactly was going on. This was after I had been contracted from Lagos, because i was the official choreographer for the concert. My Job was to contact all artists and ask them if they need dancers. It's not an imposition. If you do need the service, let me know and then pay the dancers. That was the deal. Before i left for America, they had already acknowledged their request for needing dancers. By the time we got to the back stage/his green room at the Music fest, they were still reminding me that Kaffy i hope you've got our back.  I Said i do. I've gotten costumes from Nigeria and everything, you guys are good to go. All that was done, so why would you say you don't need the dancers when you are about to climb on stage?

Now the full story of that was, at the end of the day the dancers still went on to dance for him, because after speaking to the manager that whether they dance or not, you guys have to pay something. They've already been contracted to dance for you. The Manager was acting confused and also shocked about the issue. The Ladies decided that since they were going to dance for the next act, they would start changing and deal with the Davido issue later. Now as the girls were changing for the other artist, Kamal came back and said they need to go on now. I challenged him, saying but you said you don't want the dancers anymore? Kamal said Davido said it was for the first song that he did not want but he needs them now and they should come on stage. They eventually danced for him. Now I have been pushing them for the payment of these dancers for the past 3 months.. since July. I even had to pay the money myself. These are American dancers. I have never worked with them before. One music fest gave me the opportunity to work with them.

The issues I've had with some dancers is based on these kind of disappointments. Where artists or clients or people will contract us and at the end of the day, default on payment or change the budget at the last minute. Imagine dancer where i tell you say you go collect 15k? 2 days before the show, client cuts the budget and i would have to pay you 10k? Why won't you think that i'm the one cheating you?.. To cover it up and prevent any lawsuit since American dancers have a union and could put either myself or Davido in trouble, i paid the dancers out of my own pocket. Months after, i have not been paid back.

Just before this second one music fest, I went to the star mega jam iin Abuja with Darey Art Alade. Davido was there and i felt it was the perfect moment to remind them of the payment. I spoke to his manager, who apologized and said it was because they were traveling up and down that they forgot to pay. He said 'you will not need to remind me', that by the time 'I get to Lagos the following day, i would get an alert.' But they can't pay me in dollars. 'I said well i paid the dancers in dollars so you will have to give me the equivalent of what the dollar rate is now or else i won't be able to get my value back.' This was our agreement.

Two weeks after this conversation, nothing happened. I was at a video shoot in Ikeja when I sent him a message again, requesting to know how far with the payment. An hour later, i got a message saying David blasted him. "I told you i don't need dancers. You keep pinning them on me. I'm not going to pay any money". I questioned this development and asked why is this coming three months after?

Now DNMT boss Micheal is the official choreographer for the 3 Thrones concert but i'm officially for Tiwa Savage and was involved in the 3 thrones concert.  I coordinated Tiwa's performance and went for rehearsals to guide dancers that were going to work for Tiwa. While I was there, I saw Micheal put up rehearsals for Davido and Phyno. I witnessed the hard work of those dancers. Only for me to hear a day ago from dancers that were present that David did not turn up for rehearsals. But a day before the event, he came and was rude to everyone. "Who are this people, I told you i don't need dancers", he reportedly said.

This was what I reacted to. My dancers in New York that he initially did not allow to dance, and refused to pay when they finally did at their request. Also, the fact that he disrespected dancers at their rehearsals, even after weeks of effort which he did not turn up for. If you know you did not want dancers, why did you not strike it off your contract from the very beginning? ‘MAN-WOMAN’ PROSTITUTE CAUGHT AND ARRESTED IN ACCRA

A thirty-eight year old man has been arrested by the police at Sowutuom in Accra for posing as a lady prostitute. The suspect, Ugona Agu, a Nigerian, who works as an attendant at a local eatery



(chop bar) was arrested by the Sowutuom District Police Command.

The Sowutuom District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mrs Susan Mensah Adjei, said two men who were suspicious of Agu, spotted him last Tuesday at about 3am and monitored him until he tried to change his clothes behind a ‘container’ shop after his illegal business.

According to the police when Agu saw the two men were watching him, he took to his heels but was given a hot chase and apprehended.

The two men took him to the Sowutoum Police Station where the suspect was said to have confessed that he was a male prostitute who solicited for other men.

Mrs Mensah Adjei said the suspect told the police that he arrived in Ghana in January this year and had since been working as a chop bar attendant during the day and a male prostitute at night.

“He said he dresses as a woman for his customers who pay from Gh¢300 to Gh¢500 for his services for a whole night.”

The police said the suspect, who claimed he was married with children in Nigeria, had Gh¢200 and 5,510 Naira at the time of his arrest.

However, Mrs Mensah Adjei said the suspect accused the two men who arrested him of demanding and taking GH¢ 2,000 from him.

She said the police have since launched an investigation into the matter.

Again, Court of Appeal throws out Saraki’s suit to stop his trial

The Court of Appeal has dismissed yet another application filed by Senate President Bukola Saraki challenging a previous decision of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, on his trial.

Saraki is facing trial at the tribunal for alleged false declaration of asset.

He
had approached the appeal court after the CCT dismissed his application in April, challenging the jurisdiction of the tribunal to try him.

A five man panel of justices led by Abdul Aboki on Friday affirmed the decision of the tribunal and dismissed Saraki’s application for lacking in merit.

Saraki’s applications on the same matter has repeatedly been dismissed by the higher courts.

A similar petition was previously dismissed by the court, after which same was also struck out by the apex court in February 5 when the Supreme Court decided that Saraki should return to face his trial.

He is facing a 16-count charge bordering on corruption, false assets declaration, etc.
