As President Goodluck Jonathan continues to lash out in various directions against his political opponents ahead of the epic battle for 2015 general elections, he has ordered the federal aviation authorities at the Yola Airport to prevent the take-off of a private jet chartered to take Governor Murtala Nyako to Abuja.
The governor was billed to attend the inauguration of the newly-elected National Executives of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the nation’s capital.
As soon as their flight plans was stumped, the governor and his aides travelled by road to Gombe State, that is 250 kilometres from his state, where they boarded another flight to Abuja.
Immediately Governor Nyako left Yola, the Adamawa State House of Assembly was directed from "above" to begin impeachment proceedings against him and his deputy, Bala Ngilari...
The House of Assembly, without consulting the State's Chief Judge,
directed the Clerk of the House to serve an impeachment notice on both
Nyako and his deputy to create room for PDP to take over the state.
According to Sahara Reporters, Governor Nyako began having issues with President Jonathan after he sided with Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, in the tussle in the Nigeria Governors Forum where Jonathan was trying to force an old man, Jonah Jang, on the governors.
He later decamped from Jonathan's party and join APC which is now an obvious threat to PDP for 2015.
