The 26-year-old mother-to-be was lured to the home of another woman where she was stabbed and her unborn baby removed from her womb in Longmont, Colorado, USA.

The victim, who did not know the attacker, was searching for baby clothes on the Internet when she stumbled upon an advert that led her and her baby to hospital. The seven months pregnant arrived to seller’s home where she had been attacked on March 18, 2015, Wednesday.

The attacker then cut the foetus from the woman’s womb and fled with it. Police arrived at the home only after receiving reports of a woman screaming. The crying woman was immediately taken to local hospital, where she underwent surgery and is expected to survive.

Ironically, the 34-year-old attacker arrived to the same hospital at the same time with the victim’s unborn child, claiming she had miscarried. The woman was arrested but unfortunately the doctors did not manage revive the baby.

The suspect is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and child abuse knowingly and recklessly resulting in death. The identities of both women are not disclosed.
