Katsina Has The Best NYSC Camp - Director General

Katsina State has one of the best orientation camps for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the country, the Director General of the Corps, Brig General Bamidele Johnson has revealed.

Addressing corps members yesterday when he visited Katsina State Orientation Camp, the DG said the facilities at the camp were impressive even as he lauded the state government.

He tasked the corps members to consider themselves lucky for being deployed to Katsina noting that the state had never had incidence of hostility against corps members.

He admitted that through his inspection visits to some facilities at the camp, he had notice some lapses, but assured that those lapses would be addressed.

He urged Corps members to familiarise themselves with cultures and religion of their host communities assuring that necessary measures would be put in place to ensure their security.

General Bamidele, however, tasked corp members likely to participate on election duties to resist inducement by politicians and ensure strict adherence to electoral law.

In a speech, The Katsina state NYSC Cordinator, Mr Olorunuke Wilson Abiodun said 2,073 corps members had been deployed to the state out of which 141 pregnant or married women were relocated to where their husbands reside.
