Maid who maltreated little girl sentenced to 4 years in prison

Justice at last! The Ugandan maid who was caught on tape beating and stamping on an 18 months old baby she was employed to take care of has been sentenced to four years in prison for assault on a child.

The 22-year-old lady, Jolly Tumuhiirwe, was sentenced on Monday December 14th in a Kampala high court after she had pleaded guilty to the crime of assault last week.

For not wasting the time of the court by pleading guilty, the court dropped charges of torture against her which would have landed her at least 10 years in prison. The little girl is now playing. See pics...


I just hope the maid has learnt her lessons that cruelty doesn't pay!
