It was an interesting battle of friends and members of one big family called the APC. There were surprises here and there, especially with Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso having more votes than Atiku Abubakar, a man who many thought was going to give General Muhammadu Buhari a strong fight.
By 6pm, the result was announced. Buhari won a landslide victory. Photos and details below:
APC voted thus - Sam Ndah-Isaiah 10, Okorocha 624, Atiku 954, Kwankwaso 975, Buhari 3430.

Atiku concedes defeat, congratulates Buhari
Atiku congratulated General Buhari for emerging victorious in the presidential primary election. Atiku, in a concession statement by his media office in Lagos on Thursday, said that Buhari ran a spirited campaign, and that since the delegates have spoken, he fully deserves the victory.

The statement reads, “I am very confident that you will provide the needed leadership to turn this country around. I have no doubt that you will work with dedicated and qualified Nigerians to protect our citizens, improve our economy, create jobs, improve education, reform governance and fight corruption.

“You will indeed bring the change Nigerians have been yearning for once more, congratulations."
February 14, 2015...it will be Buhari versus Jonathan. It promises to be a very interesting contest!
