Man Shows Up In Court NAKED After Domestic Dispute (PHOTO)

The incident took place at about 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in their resident at Asaka Street which is off Abule-Nla Road, Ebute Meta West of the state.

Police operatives subsequently arrested the 30-year-old loader in Cross Country transportation identified as Udeme Inim on charges of assault.

It was gathered that the victim, Christopher Bassey, intervened and tried to stop his dad from inflicting injuries on his mum after a fight between the duo turned more violent.

Bassey’s action irked his dad so much that he descended on him and beat him to pulp before biting off his right ear.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in the area, but unfortunately, his ear could not be reattached.

“He was fighting with my mum and at a point he began to destroy some of our property. It was too much for me to bear so I tried to stop and that’s when he attacked and bit off my ear,” said the victim.

Inim was arraigned before a magistrate court after which he was remanded in jail and set on a bail of N20,000 with two sureties in like sum.

According to Punch, the Investigating Police Officer, Sergeant Dibia Godwin, told the court that Inim had entered the station stark na ked.

He said, “He works as a loader with Cross Country. On that day, the victim had first come to the station to report; there was blood all over him, he had to be taken to the hospital.

“Shortly after, he (Inim) also rushed in. He was stark na ked. He said he wanted to report the same matter and we wondered how he could say he wanted to make a report after disfiguring somebody’s ear. We had to get something to put on him.”

The matter was adjourned till March 26 for further mention.
