Senator dumps Jonathan, declares Support for Buhari

Few hours to the presidential election, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman (Kogi Central) has dumped President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP for the presidential candidate of the APC, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Senator Abatemi-Usman recently quit the PDP and jioned the PPA on whose platform he is contesting Saturday's election. But he has been supporting Jonathan till now.

In a statement he released on Friday  by his spokesman, formally declared total support for Buhari in the presidential election.

Speaking on Tao FM, an Ebiraland-based radio station, he said Buhari "is the best candidate for the Presidency" at the moment.

“I'm using this medium to call on my beloved people of Ebiraland to give me their votes in the senatorial election to reelect me for a second term on the platform of PPA. For the presidential election, vote for Buhari.

"I will vote for him because he is the best candidate for the presidency at this point in time. Buhari represents the change that Nigerians are asking for”, he said.
