The enforcement would begin nationwide on October 1.
The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Kano State Command, on Friday reminded vehicle owners that it would enforce the deadline on the old number plates and driver's licence from October 1.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, Kabiru Daura, said the agency had written reminders to government ministries and agencies on the issue and many of them had responded positively.
The agency advised vehicle owners to change their number plates to the new one to avoid embarrassment.
Mr. Daura said the enforcement would begin nationwide on October 1.
