Students from various polytechnics and colleges of Educations have taken to the streets in Lagos over the lingering strike embarked upon by Academic Unions in polytechnics that has left the tertiary institutions closed for more than 9 months. Bemoaning their continued stay at home due to the strike actions, the placard carrying students demanded that the federal government should implement the 2009 ASUP agreement and end the HND/BSC dichotomy.

The protest caused traffic gridlock on the Herbert Macaulay road in Yaba area of Lagos.
