Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel and Liverpool forward Victor Moses have been nominated among the five players for the 2013 BBC African Footballer of the Year.
Both players contributed immensely to Nigeria's triumph at the African Cup of Nations in February.
Ivory Coast's Yaya Toure made the shortlist for the fifth consecutive year and is also joined by Burkina Faso's Jonathan Pitroipa and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon.
According to the BBC, the winner will be decided by African football fans, who have until 18:00 GMT on 25 November to vote for their choice.
