Celebrating Uncommon Democratic Dividends

It is evidently clear that whenever we come full cycle every September 23 as a state and a people with a common political destiny, our history becomes richer and richer especially under the quintessential leadership of Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio, CON.

First, it was the unprecedented free and compulsory education programme which has effectively rescued the Akwa Ibom Child from servitude, and has guaranteed his future against ignorance, poverty and crime, among many other things like the infrastructural and human capital development projects going on in the state.

And now, it is the unprecedented emancipation of the Akwa Ibom woman from the shackles of gender segregation, with the invitation of women to leadership with a female Chief Judge, a female Head of Civil Service and the first female Deputy Governor.

I congratulate you, Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio, CON, the new revelation of Nigerian politics for giving the Nigerian nation and Akwa Ibom people in particular, the ruling Peoples' Democratic Party and the President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, what to celebrate on this occasion of the 53rd Independence Day Anniversary of Nigeria and 26th anniversary of statehood.
